According to a study by Research and Markets, the Indian mobile handset market is now worth about $2 billion, but will surge by over 60 percent in two years. Nokia dominates the market with a 59 percent market share, followed by Samsung with 13 percent and Motorola with 7 percent.

Google to Offer Giant Web Database

Google is preparing to unveil a new service that will serve as a giant Web database for miscellaneous content submitted by users. Called Google Base, the site will host all times of items and make them searchable through the use of “attributes,” or tags.

Opera 9.0 Technology Preview 1

Opera Software, who recently made their Opera Browser free has announced the availability of Opera 9.0 Technology Preview 1.

The release log shows that it has undergone many changes. Some notable ones include a opera:config for managing preferences (just like Firefox’s about:config), and pressing CTRL+N now opens a new window instead of tab. To open a new tab? Press CTRL+T (which is er, just like Firefox).

Flock Screenshots

As far as I know it is based on Firefox and it is going to work with
del.icio.us for Bookmarks and flickr.com for images. It will also a sepcial interface for bloggers where creating blog posts is a matter of drag & drop things within the Flock browser.
