Meebo as an active desktop

Meebo recently updated their service to support Jabber/ Google Talk. Meebo is an AJAX web based chat service which support AIM/ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, and now Jabber.

If you’re on Windows and wish to use Meebo as your Active Desktop, follow the steps below:

1. Right-click on your desktop and go to Properties > Desktop
2. Click the Customize Desktop button. In the resulting window navigate to the Web tab.

3. Click New. In the New Desktop Item window enter http://meebo.com in the Location field and click OK.

    You are doing a great job.At least now I can access the messenger service in my college where chatting is not allowed.I hope system administrators dont find out about your website too soon.Hey..How about adding the facility of sending offline messeges…

    Its blocked at my place too.. 🙁
    Don’t think we can use a proxy for that since it involves so much AJAX.
